Oh D-Gray man anime, you don't live up to the manga at all ;_;
I tried to watch it but couldn't get past the first 10 or so. But if you're looking for background noise or something then it's not so bad. Not saying that it's terrible, but if you've read the manga first then it's disappointing is all.
Also, has anyone seen Munto, or Munto TV? I've fallen in love with it for some reason and there aren't even that many episodes. It was first a 2 episode OAV that kinda left you hanging, back in like 2003, then they just starting doing a proper series for it, looks like it's gonna be 13 episodes or possibly more. There are fansubs for 1-4 out right now.
It kinda reminds me of Noein a little(Atmosphere and girl with powers aspects), also the same artist did the openings for both series so maybe that's why...?
The characters are interesting, the settings are beautiful, the fight scenes are really really cool, and everything has a purpose. You know how in some shows there's filler or just stuff that never seems relevant yet it takes up space and forces you to watch it cause you have no idea how long it's going to last? Well Munto doesn't have any of that. I can't wait to see what the new material is gonna be like

I'm very excited to say the least. I think episode 5 has been released by not fansubbed yet, we have to wait until episode 7 most likely before we see new stuff since 1-3 covered the first OAV.
Obligatory pictures:

Also a comparison of the old and new animation:

This is an interesting fan pic too, it's as if it were a video game:

There's also like 50 of these funny little comics that they made while in production, the staff really has a sense of humor, I'd post some but you wouldn't know what was going on unless you've seen it.
So yeah, there's my plug for this show

Now go watch it! You can find episodes 1-4 also on Youtube, but who knows how long they'll be there.
